Program Description:
Yéle Haiti’s Employment program aims to create employment and vocational training opportunities for Haitian people in and around Port-au-Prince. Through this program, 2,000 people are employed every month and paid a livable wage per day. This program is the largest NGO work program in Haiti to-date.
Yéle Corps employees are also employed as cholera response workers, as well as street and canal cleaners. A portion of the Yéle Corps workers are chosen to continue on to vocational training classes.
